Diploma in Animation

The Diploma in Animation programme is a two-year course focuses on developing the skills needed to produce industry standard video production, 2D and 3D animations. It’s an extensive course that is driven by strong ideation processes and one year full of technical animation projects.  The syllabus was designed to equip students with knowledge to complete projects, planning good pre-production and showcase their skills in Film & Animation Competition/Festivals.

Specialisation Course

  • Video Production 1 (Documentary and Interviews)
  • Digital Animation 1 (Basic animation)
  • Digital Storyboard (Animatix)

 

Term 4 – 12 weeks

  • Motion Graphic Design (social issue)
  • Video Production 2 (short-stories)
  • Concept Art (Booklet)

 

Term 5 – 12 weeks

  • 3D Modelling
  • 3D Rendering
  • 3D Animation – Scene Breakdown

  

Term 6 – 12 weeks

  • Sound Design & Production 1
  • Digital Animation 2 – (3D/2D Ted Ed)
  • VFX Design – (particles etc)

 

Advanced Course

Term 7 – 12 weeks 

  • Final Project Planning (Animatix + concept art + sketches)

Admission Criteria

- IGCSE ‘O’ Level or Equivalent

- SMA 3 / Year 12

- IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL 550
